Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern bookings made with Morning-star tours and safari cc (“Morning Star”, “we”, “us”). By submitting an enquiry, paying a deposit, or travelling with us you accept the terms below. Please read them carefully and contact us at Click to show email if anything is unclear.

1. Booking & payment

• An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only once we have received the 40 % non-refundable deposit and emailed written confirmation.
• The balance is due 60 days before travel. Bookings made within 60 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking.
• Bank transfer is our preferred payment method. Bank details are on the invoice attached to your booking confirmation.
• Use the booking reference (e.g. BK-00123) on every payment so we can match it correctly.

2. Pricing

• All prices are quoted in Namibian Dollar (NAD) per person sharing unless stated otherwise.
• Quotes are valid for 14 days from issue. After that we may need to re-quote based on current rates and availability.
• Single travellers are subject to the single supplement shown on the relevant tour page.
• What's included and excluded is listed on each tour page; please re-read it before paying the deposit.

3. Cancellation by you

• More than 60 days before travel: deposit forfeited.
• 30–60 days before travel: 50 % of the total tour cost forfeited.
• Less than 30 days before travel: 100 % of the total tour cost forfeited.
• No-shows on the day of travel: 100 % of the total tour cost forfeited.
• Cancellations must be in writing (email is fine). Refunds, where applicable, are paid back to the original transfer account within 14 working days.

4. Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to cancel a tour for reasons beyond our control (force majeure, civil unrest, weather closures, government restrictions). In such cases we will offer you the option to:

• Reschedule to a later date at no extra cost, or
• Receive a full refund of monies paid.

We are not liable for incidental costs (flights, visas, pre-paid hotels) caused by such cancellations.

5. Travel documents & insurance

• You are responsible for ensuring your passport, visa, vaccination certificates and any other travel documents are valid for travel into Namibia and any neighbouring countries on your itinerary.
• Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, repatriation, cancellation and lost luggage is a condition of booking. We do not arrange travel insurance ourselves.

6. Health & fitness

Some itineraries involve walking on uneven terrain, long drives, dust, heat, and remote camping with limited facilities. Please tell us in advance about any condition (mobility, cardiac, dietary, allergies) that may affect your participation. We will do our best to accommodate; in some cases we may need to amend the itinerary.

7. Conduct on tour

• Travellers are expected to respect local communities, wildlife and the environment. Your guide may remove anyone whose behaviour endangers others or breaks Namibian law, with no refund.
• Please follow your guide's safety instructions at all times — particularly around wildlife, water bodies and 4×4 driving.

8. Liability

Morning Star acts as a booking agent on behalf of accommodation providers, transport operators, restaurants, activity operators and other third parties. We exercise reasonable care in selecting reputable suppliers, but accept no liability for injury, loss, damage or delay caused by their acts or omissions, nor for any event beyond our reasonable control. Our maximum liability in any case is limited to the total amount you paid us for the tour.

9. Photography & marketing

Photos and videos taken by our guides during a tour may be used in our marketing materials (website, social media, brochures). Please tell us before the tour if you would prefer not to be photographed.

10. Privacy & data

How we collect and use your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Namibia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Windhoek.
